All OCBC Members and interested parties are advised that the Annual General Meeting of the Orere Community and Boating Club will now be held in the Orere War Memorial Hall at 10.30am on Sunday 8th November.
We had originally scheduled this for the second week in September but obviously that idea was scuppered by the arrival of Lockdown2 and the subsequent gathering restrictions that followed. Hopefully we're back on track now.
In addition to the standard AGM agenda, members will be asked to vote on the adoption of changes and updates to the OCBC Constitution. Members must be in attendance in order to vote on the constitutional amendments.
A constitution is the very important set of guidelines and rules which govern the way the club is managed by the Committee. Changes proposed this year help to bring the club’s governance and rules up to date and make them more relevant for Orere Point residents of all kinds.
Rumours are rife that the famous OCBC bake-off will be happening once again at the AGM, so members with that special recipe or treat will have their finest judged as part of the refreshments following the AGM.
